Hi, my name is Alys and I am a singer and multi - instrumentalist from Cardiff.

I have been singing since the world was bright and have been playing the piano since about the age of 4. Music is my whole world.

After spreading my wings and moving to Edinburgh to study Geography at university I entered into the world of electronic music, and raved my days away. Since covid, clubbing became obsolete in my life and so I relearned the guitar and got out there gigging with my own stuff as well as my favourite covers.

Soon after moving to Machynlleth in 2021, I started to work on my album In Retrospect and finished recording it in the summer of ‘22. I worked with the producer Mike West in his quaint studio in Borth.

It is a collection of original work that are stories of times gone by.

In search of the city’s grit, I moved away to Glasgow’s Southside in the summer of 22. It was a vibrant experience of music and friendship and I really learned a lot from those infamous Scottish crowds!

I am still gigging (mostly around Wales) and am writing when I can (mostly at the piano these days).

The new single ‘DO YOU SEE ME?’ (yes in caps) is a very personal one for me. It was written after something traumatic happened to me. The song is about healing, strength and self - preservation.

It took a lot and a very kind friend’s help for me to record the song. It consists of me playing a piano I know very well before 9am in my pyjamas. It couldn’t have breathed with backing so there we have it!
